ビートルズ。今から５０年前の１９６２年１０月に「ラヴ・ミー・ドウ」でデビュー。襟なし服、マッシュルーム・カットの髪型が新鮮・強烈で、世界中から注目を集めたバンドです。ジョン・レノン、ジョージ・ハリスン、リンゴ・スター、ポール・マッカートニーの４人グループ。１９７０年に解散をしましたのでビートルズとしての活動期間は短いですが、メンバーの４人は解散後もそれぞれ個性的な活動をしました。すでにジョン・レノン（１９８０１２月８日没）、ジョージ・ハリスン（２００１年１１月２９日没）は故人です。今夏のロンドン・オリンピックでは、ポール・マッカートニーが開会式式典の最後にビートルズ時代のヒット曲「 ヘイ・ジュード」を歌いました。 ビートルズには名曲がたくさんありますが、お薦めの一曲は「ミスタームーンライト」です。ビートルズのオリジナル曲ではなく、カバー曲ですが、初期のヒット曲です。 昨日は十六夜。満月がしだいにかけていきます。今の時期にピッタリの名曲です。（内田） Mr. Moonlight.
